JOB SUMMARY:
This position is a full time nonexempt position. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for the proper interpretation and management of company contracts with clients, subcontractors, and third-party administrators, researching laws and regulations, and assisting with logistics for ongoing legal cases and dispute resolution matters. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communications skills, be highly detailed, and have the ability to work across multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. The person filling this role must be proactive, responsive, and detail oriented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Review contract and vendor terms and conditions, including but not limited to company contracts, subcontract agreements, or third-party administrative agreements.
- Contract administration including proper interpretation and implementation of administrative requirements of contract documents and ensuring company compliance.
- Provide advice, assistance and guidance to project management and functions on project specific contractual matters.
- Coordinate with other legal and compliance staff for ongoing legal cases including assistance, gathering data, managing schedules, and support with trial preparation.
- Research laws and regulations for new and existing branch offices to ensure compliance.
- Dispute resolution.
- Discretion to maintain highly confidential information.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two years of experience as a Legal Assistant, or equivalent education, required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports and correspondence with impeccable grammar. Must have the ability to speak clearly and effectively to customers, attorneys, and/or employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY:
Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Organized with the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Broad knowledge of various computer software applications. Exceptional computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office preferred. Minimum typing speed of 60 WPM is required.
