Job Summary:
The Legal Project Management and Coordinator is accountable for leading all aspects of multiple low/medium complexity projects. This role manages projects that have a low/medium level of risk, organizational span, business complexity, team size, and interdependencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans and implements all aspects of projects or programs
- Customizes solutions for project issues
- Achieves desired business results by thoroughly understanding business objectives
- Drives achievement of project or program success factors
- Drives project execution (defining objectives, creating timelines and budgets, management of resources, monitoring progress and consistent communication)
- Maintain consistency for in-house lawyers regarding in-house law department processes
- Manages attorney CLE and bar association (licensing) processes
- Provides direction and oversight throughout project lifecycle to project team to meet applicable business requirements
- Engages appropriate stakeholders in risk identification and mitigation
- Assesses and reports health of all projects in an objective manner, maintains project transparency and accurate status; keeps managers and business areas informed
- Coordinates, documents, and communicates project plans and requirements
- Conduct, summarize, and analyze complex factual research; perform fact gathering; research and analyze applicable laws, regulations, and case law.
- Provides support to management that includes scheduling, calendar management, travel arrangements and expense reporting.

This job does not have supervisory duties.
Education and Experience:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Legal and/or paralegal background highly preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Project Management Professional (PMP) OR ABA approved Paralegal Certificate (Preferred)
Functional Skills:
- Advanced written/verbal communication for communicating at all levels, including strong presentation skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Skills in team leadership and conflict management
- Strong client service and consultative orientation
- Agile thinker and creative problem-solver
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Strong knowledge of research tools such as LexisNexis or Westlaw (and/or other related internet tools)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to work in “hybrid” work office environment within our Chicago offices a minimum of 2-3 days per week, or as needed
- Minimal travel required

Compensation offered for this role is $57,500.00-$94,625.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
