As legal records manager in the Law and Corporate Affairs Department, you are contributing to Starbucks success by leading, maintaining, and enhancing the legal records management program for Law & Corporate Affairs (L&CA). Your scope is to provide user consulting, develop training solutions, and provide overall support and troubleshooting across the global spectrum of legal records.

You will drive results and set priorities independently toward improving the effectiveness of legal operations and records management via business process and system improvement efforts.

You will support legal operations and records management by providing training and training documentation.

As a legal records manager, you will…

  • Leverage advanced knowledge of records management practices to drive solution development, implementation, and sustainment.
  • Provide best practices and knowledge transfer to global client teams in support of standardized records management practices with full responsibility for records lifecycle development, implementation, management, and enhancements.
  • Manage all phases of appropriate records projects, including planning, design, development, testing, implementation, documentation, communication training and closure, applying formal project management methodologies. Ensure that the project achieves the expected results on time and within budget.
  • Leverage industry expertise to expand existing cross-functional processes to improve legal records support. Manage tool and process documentation.
  • Develop, implement and provide ongoing information management training for end users of L&CA systems and records repositories. Includes communicating applicable processes, procedures and writing and/or reviewing technical documentation as required and ensuring alignment of annual compliance audits in alignment with requirements and business standards.
  • Establish and implement data accuracy procedures for L&CA systems. Resolve data discrepancies through determining the source of the inconsistency and tracking issue resolution; train users to reduce future occurrences of data discrepancies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on cross-functional teams and projects to support key business objectives, e.g., during business acquisitions or deaccessions.
  • Lead cross- functional teams to resolve process issues and determine more effective procedures to support business needs and compliance with records policy.
  • Mentor, coach and train others within group, applicable Law and Corporate Affairs partners, and business units on information management and their role in managing information.
  • Manage Law Firm conflicts of interest waiver request process.

The pay range for this position may be narrower than that displayed, depending on where the work is performed.
