Minnesota West Community and Technical College seeks a Librarian dedicated to excellence in learning who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. Candidates should be interested in participating in classroom research, outcomes based assessment, quality improvement, and faculty development.

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Establish a collaborative partnership with the student success coordinator, focusing on regular communication and joint initiatives, to comprehensively enhance and elevate the quality and reach of student support services.
- Participate in planning and developing library services for on campus and online students.
- Participate in the integration of an electronic library and academic resources, web based services and networking.
- Database usage, facilities usage, and other tracking/reporting as required to administration
- Incorporate the latest technology into teaching methods and be willing to use online and distance learning strategies,including interactive television.
- Assist faculty with incorporation of latest academic resource technology into classrooms (online or on campus).
- Initiate, coordinate and assess services that support student success.
- Initiate, coordinate, and assess services that support faculty.
- Deliver classroom and/or online course instruction on library and academic resources.
- Participate in committee assignments and college-wide initiatives.
- Participate in department accreditation and review.
- Engage in scholarly and professional development activities.
- Participate in college and community activities.
- Participate in assessment of student learning.
- Travel as needed to support college’s campuses, sites, and centers.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in library science or equivalent degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous library experience working with a diverse population.
- Previous experience in instructional design and/or instructional technology.
- Experience with D2L or other online Course Management System.
- Understanding of the mission, vision, and core values of a comprehensive two year college.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Multilingual or multicultural background or experience working with underserved populations.
- Experience with library automation systems and electronic databases.
- Knowledge of academic policies.
