Position Summary
Respond and provide complex assistance and resolution to library customers concerning library policies, activities, computer databases, services and materials. Provide library customers with information, connections, and direct referrals to resources and social service agencies for health, mental health, and addiction support services as well as housing and job search skills. Coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public. Plan and participate in developing, preparing, coordinating, scheduling and providing special library programs and training for the general public and staff on social services; provide highly responsible and complex assistance to higher level supervisory or management staff.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social services, human services, education, public health, library science or related field, and
Three (3) years community or social service program coordination experience; and
To include one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver’s License or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator’s Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
