This manager position provides day-to-day support to Health and COMCARE facilities. Will also work on projects as assigned. The employee may work with various County departments while performing duties to include Facilities, Purchasing and Project Services. Will work with vendors and property owners of the leased facilities. Must be organized and be able to articulate well verbally and in written form. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
Provides Day-to-Day support to Health & COMCARE Facilities.
- Facilitate or perform service and maintenance requests.
- Move equipment and supplies as needed.
- Move or re-arrange internal furniture or offices.
- Submit monthly Safety Assessment Forms to Risk Management regarding all facility issues.
- Bi-weekly walkthroughs of all COMCARE facilities.
- Schedule maintenance of facilities to include painting and carpet cleaning.
- Point of contact and coordinate fleet maintenance. May provide direction to the PT Driver positions.
- Maintains an inventory listing of all equipment and furniture.
- Maintains a vendor list of all contracts.
- Facility safety coordination.
Manage the Health and Human Services HEAT Ticket Request System.
- Receive and acknowledge all service tickets that are submitted through this system.
- Will enter data into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Provide training of the HEAT software system for new staff that use this technology.
- Generate reports on performance, quality, and quantity of requests in this system.
Coordinate Operations Projects.
- Determine need for facility changes.
- Conduct purchasing for HHS as it pertains to property or facility work by obtaining appropriate quotes and approvals.
- Will enter items into the PPS system, verify items have been received, and process invoices for payment.
- Provide proposals or recommendations when necessary for facility-related items or concerns.
- Support contract and operations personnel on facility-related contracts and lease agreements.
- Meet with vendors and property owners to discuss concerns and solutions.
- Identify solutions for space design and furniture or equipment needs.
- Will work on facility related capital improvement items.
- Develop and maintain the continuity of facility related operations.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in managing contracts, accounts payable, purchasing, safety, and facility management. Four years of experience in a related field. Must have a valid Kansas Driver’s license and current proof of automobile insurance. Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle and meet driver qualification standards as set forth in Sedgwick County’s Fleet Vehicle Operation and Usage policy. Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC/CCBHC licensing standards and pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle screens. Must complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE. Pre-employment drug screen. MS Office Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a field of study related to the operations of facilities, or equivalent experience. Five years of experience preferred in facility or property management.
