General Statement of Job
Under general supervision performs customer service work during special event operations at North Myrtle Beach Sports Park. Work will primarily revolve around the City’s operation of The Great Christmas Light Show. Job will begin in November 2023 and end on December 30th, 2023. Responsibilities include:
- Promptly greeting all customers
- Operating special event attractions
- Consistently implementing selling techniques
- Assisting in the execution of cash handling and accurately operating POS
- Cleaning, organizing, and restocking on an hourly basis
- Assisting in special events, athletics and concessions
- Working closely with the team members, supervisors and manager
Must be available on nights and weekends. Reports to the Athletic and Sports Tourism Manager.
Minimum Training and Experience
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Experience working in high-volume operations or retail is a plus, working with the public in the service industry, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 40 pounds), and occasionally heavier objects and materials (up to 250 pounds) including pushing and/or pulling wheeled concession carts.
