What You’ll Do
- Effectively communicate lighting control design options to a diverse stakeholder group
- Attend client meetings, lead the coordination effort between external and internal project teams
- Perform lighting calculations and equipment selection and specification
- Provide mentorship, training, guidance and design direction for the project team
- Project team leadership, guide other team members to a successful project outcome
- Estimate probable construction costs based on industry knowledge and experience
- Perform site visits, document construction progress with regard to specific discipline and issue reports
- Edit/write detailed lighting control specifications; provide input into standards
- Oversee, develop and direct lighting control mock-ups and on-site evaluations.
- Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
- Coordinate lighting control systems with other disciplines and building systems.
- Utilize knowledge of building codes and industry standards
- Independently evaluate and apply judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from design to construction
- Lead projects successfully and profitably, completing the project within the budget and schedule
What You Bring
- College Degree required, Architecture, Theatrical design, Interior Design, Lighting Design, Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum six years direct and relevant lighting control design experience
- Knowledge of a diverse range of lighting control system architecture and protocols including modular distributed wired and wireless low voltage, central low voltage, architectural dimming, DMX, DALI, KNX, luminaire level control, theatrical control and other relevant systems.

What We Offer
- Hiring Base Salary Range: $83,000- $111,000 annual
- This position is eligible for straight overtime pay
The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, roles are eligible for additional rewards, including salary increases and annual bonuses based on individual performance. The above range represents PAE’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
