The Listing Operations Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end process of item listing, ensuring its quality and smooth transition of ownership. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving issues, providing individual and team training, fostering a collaborative environment, and optimizing communication within and across teams. You will also work closely with other departments to maintain listing standards through standardized training materials and documentation. Your leadership will play a vital role in identifying and implementing process improvements within your team and the department. This position is located at our Manhattan, KS headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve issues within the team’s workflow and individual performance.
  • Conduct comprehensive training for individuals and teams to enhance skills and ensure uniform understanding of objectives and goals.
  • Provide continuous mentorship to optimize daily tasks, team objectives, and departmental goals.
  • Address and work directly with team members who may not be performing at their best.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, actively seeking their input, and applying their feedback to improve processes.
  • Facilitate seamless communication within and across teams to ensure the timely completion of daily tasks and departmental objectives.
  • Communicate with other managers to allocate resources appropriately.
  • Monitor communication channels, especially Data Capture(DC)-Help, to provide immediate responses to field-related questions and issues.
  • Work closely with Auction Specialist Managers and DC team to ensure item attributes align with listing standards.
  • Create and maintain standardized training materials, documentation, DC checklists, and DC guides.
  • Lead efforts to standardize processes and drive continuous improvements within the team and across the Listing Operations department.
  • Hold accountability for team members’ work quality, training, and scheduling.
  • Lead initiatives to standardize processes and implement changes within the team and department.
  • Take ownership of continuous training initiatives, identifying and delivering training as required.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for item operations.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and regular feedback to team members.
  • Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and implement development plans for team members.
  • Address any performance issues or conflicts within the team promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in an operations or e-commerce environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to listen to team members and incorporate their feedback.
  • Ability to identify issues, develop training solutions, and mentor team members effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with online marketplace listing operations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools like Slack.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and standardization.
  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and fluid work environment.

Working Settings:

  • Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime
  • Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, additional hours may be required depending on priorities
  • Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.

Compensation:

  • The annual salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Salary paid bi-weekly
  • Monthly Bonus Program – determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200)
  • Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment
  • Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year
  • Eligible to participate in the Restricted Stock Unit program following the completion of two (2) years of service.
