Job Description

The role

Clifford Chance US LLP is seeking a full time Litigation Research Analyst to support our Litigation and Dispute Resolution (“L&DR”) practice area for a fixed term of one year. This position will be based in our New York, NY office and report to the L&DR Practice Area Leader. This is an excellent opportunity for gaining substantive experience at a top-ranked international law firm with a high-profile practice. The position will involve working alongside partners and other attorneys in an exciting practice that involves complex civil, regulatory, and criminal matters representing domestic and international clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting sophisticated factual and financial analysis and research
  • Providing strategic direction and preparing quantitative analyses based on understanding of case facts
  • Assisting with sophisticated trial/litigation support (e.g., helping to manage exhibits and assisting with PowerPoint presentations to jury)
  • Preparing attorneys for court appearances, depositions, client meetings and witness interviews
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in political science, criminal justice, engineering, mathematics, biological sciences, computer science or physical sciences preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant legal experience preferred.
  • Must have strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent organizational and client service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the Firm’s internal and client information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be a strategic thinker and problem solver.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to professionally interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat; experience in coding desired.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Must be independently and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $125,000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.
