Responsibilities
Peraton is looking for a LoadRunner Software QA Tester who will be part of a team responsible for the technical support and administration of the Department of Defense Cash Accountability System (DCAS). DCAS is the selected enterprise solution for Department of the Treasury reporting which will interface with several Department of Defense enterprise resource planning systems.
Responsibilities:
- Software testing in support of the maintenance and development of the DCAS application.
- Plan test approach based on business requirements.
- Design/execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
- Manually test any new software to ensure functional requirements, system compliance and technical specifications are adhered to.
- Conduct software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
- Create / maintain databases of known test defects.
- Work across departments to validate actual test results against expected results.
- Review and document defects against business documentation throughout the systems development life-cycle.
- Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
- Analyze complex situations and recommend solutions to the client.
- Recommend areas for process improvement.
- Attend daily stand-up meetings with project team and provide detailed analysis when requested.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Perform repeatable testing procedures and processes.
- Verify triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, hardware product or system specifications.
- Interpret and modify code as required that may include PL/SQL, queries, stored procedures and/or triggers.
- Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner tool
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10 years of related experience.
- Must have extensive experience using LoadRunner Testing software.
- Must have experience with Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Database
- Must have Manual testing experience
- Knowledge and experience with Quality Center 10 or higher and/or ALM
- Experience with test scripts, software testing.
- Software testing experience in a Web-based or Windows client/server environment required.
- Experience in development and/or database administration experience using a Microsoft product required.
- Ability to read and write programming language – PL/SQL
- Knowledge of software quality assurance practices, with strong testing aptitude.
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware may be required.
- Must have a solid understanding of software development cycle.
- Ability to obtain Public Trust or active/current DoD Public Trust to be considered.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 – $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
