JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for different facets of overall just-in-time manufacturing to maintain smooth sequences production under lean operations at the Livermore facility. Logistics Manager is responsible for reconciliation of the JDE system, inventory management of finished goods and raw materials, and production tracking. Logistics Manager is responsible for manager a team of Inventory Coordinators that covers 24hrs production and the Winery Operations Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Reconcile monthly production information from JDE; including but not limited to submitting/leading monthly reports to compliance department and entering all QC samples, production reports, dry goods and materials into JDE
  • Manage a team to meet the demands of a fluid Just-in-Time manufacturing model
  • Responsible for warehouse inventory management of raw material accuracy
  • Responsible for meeting Good Manufacturing Practices in the warehouses
  • Liaison with other Wine Group shipping facilities and IT team to maintain an open line of communication
  • Responsible for forklift and hostler truck fleet and maintenance
  • Liaison with key Wine Group material vendors
  • Responsible for finished goods tracking and scanning of pallets
  • Coordinate all activities under the logistics management system that maintains plant effectiveness and line efficiencies
  • Work within the organization to improve and capture all spare parts inventories and a work order system for maintenance planning
  • Support storeroom inventory and purchasing

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience related to logistics operations
  • 3-5 years supervisory, supervisor experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Knowledge of MS Office, JDE application preferred a plus
  • Provide excellent verbal and written communications to all levels of management, both internally and externally
  • History of organizational communication and coordination
  • Display integrity, character, and strong leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
  • Work independently within set guidelines
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to travel between facilities when required
  • Work environment is a combination of office and production environment
  • Position will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments with varying noise levels
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in a production environment

COMPENSATION

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $84,500 – $126,700
  • Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience; skills, knowledge, and abilities; education; and other position related factors.
