Logistics Support Analyst

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Logistics Support Analyst to join our team of qualified, and diverse individuals. This position is located on-site in Suffolk, VA.

The preferred candidate for this position will analyze technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel. May forecast and manage budget system.

Serve as the primary focal point supporting the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Network Operations Center (NOC) and TARS Mission Data Operations (MDO) activities.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Asset management operations using a Management Information System (MIS): Asset inventory, stores and spares management; Track asset Mean Time between Failure (MTBF); Asset procurement and tracking; Asset distribution tracking.
  • Generate ad-hoc, special and re-occurring logistics reports as required by the customer and Program Manager.
  • Oversee warehouse operations to ensure tractability and accountability for all program assets.
  • Ensure asset shipments are timely and transactions are documented and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Liaison with transportation suppliers and continually improve business relationships to maximize logistical contributions to the program.
  • Collaborate with network engineering team to track and maintain IT asset warranty and maintenance subscriptions, serve as POC for administrative issues and conduct periodic status report of all maintenance contracts.
  • Track and forecast budget for TARS NOC and MDO logistics activities.
  • Analyzes technical data and reports to establish appropriate asset inventories and determine most effective provisioning courses of action to maximize program performance.
  • Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. Originates support plans for offer to potential customers and provides technical assistance to existing customers.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and minimum 6 years experience.
  • Familiarity with using Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated CBP Background Investigation (BI).
  • U.S. Citizenship; must possess a DOD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
  • Aptitude to learn new computer applications.

Target Salary Range

$39,000 – $62,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
