Description
The Alliant Energy Center is currently recruiting for a Limited Term Employee (LTE) Parking Lead position. Limited Term Employees (LTEs) are limited to 1,200 hours in a payroll year and are not guaranteed any hours per week.
Equity, Definition and Examples of Duties
DEFINITION
Under general direction, incumbent will lead parking operations at the Alliant Energy Center (AEC).
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Create and distribute parking plans for large scale events at the AEC. Schedule and train LTE Parking Attendants that support events at the AEC. Liaise with various stakeholders, including the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the WI Department of Transportation (DOT), to implement traffic plans for various events. Direct the set-up of cones, signage, or other traffic equipment to facilitate vehicle ingress/egress. Work closely with AEC event coordinators to coordinate/direct parking for events. Work with AEC staff to ensure coordination between parking operations and parking fee collection. Enforce parking rules/regulations during events. Work closely with other AEC or third party staffing to facilitate a seamless guest parking experience. Ensure that vehicle traffic flow is controlled and safe. Resolve guest concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Problem solve in a fast paced environment.
Education, Experience & Special Requirements
Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to high school graduation. Previous experience in event management, parking operations, or general management is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Must be available and willing to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed based on event requirements.

Physical and Environmental Work Requirements:
Ability to traverse stairs and move around the venues in a timely fashion. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be comfortable working in adverse weather conditions.

Must work well with others and function in a team atmosphere. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must have excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills. Use initiative and independent judgment to make decisions within job guidelines. Ability to communicate via radio and cell phone.
