Description
This position is to help assist, and ensure public safety at the local boat ramps, docks, piers, and walkways and conduct general maintenance and upkeep of parks and park facilities. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
The pay rate for this position is $11.00 per hour plus benefit and retirement options.
Examples of Duties
- Directs vehicles to available docking areas and parking locations/spaces while keeping traffic congestion to a minimum
- Provides excellent customer service with the ability to communicate effectively..
- Performs custodial duties and maintenance within parks.
- This position will be assigned principally to dock working during the high-traffic timeframes of the season and subsequently assigned for general maintenance for the parks during the slower months.
- Works outside in all weather conditions.
- Performs related duties as required.
Emergency Response
- County employees are required to report for work during a state of emergency and are subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations which may include duties other than those specified in this job description
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED).
- Experience in performing manual labor.
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license and be insurable by current insurance carrier.
- This position is subject to the Hepatitis B Vaccine
