You have strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. You understand building and strengthening relationships, maintain order and clear communication channels. You appreciate the stability of a large multinational company with a long history of growth and success.

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you are directly involved in ensuring continuous production of the US’s largest supplier of plastic pour bottles and glass IV’s. You further enable Baxter to fulfill our mission to save and sustain lives. Your work runs the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. You are the trusted critical connection between the facilities and equipment and the production workers on the floor.

What you’ll be doing

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • General Equipment repairs:Automated packaging or conveyor belts, liquid filling machines, industrial robotics, proximity sensing instruments, basic vision systems.
  • PLC’s troubleshooting experience, basic electrical troubleshooting (480V and below)
  • Cross-train on all operations, including production areas: filling, packing, vials, prep room and sterilization
  • Ensure compliance with EHS regulations and documentation

What you’ll bring

  • High school Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years general maintenance experience, including basic electrical skills, welding, and industrial maintenance
  • Ability to use electrical test equipment, i.e. volt-ohm meter, ammeter, meg-ohmmeter, wiggly
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install DC equipment/controllers, generators, solenoids, relays, motors, power supplies
  • AB troubleshooting experience is preferred
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods of time, visual acuity, lifting above the shoulder 30 lbs, and pushing or pulling up to 75 lbs, bending, reaching, climbing ladders and catwalks, working in hot/cold temps, and confined space entry.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $33,000 to $76,000. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
