A Maintenance Mechanic job in North Billerica, MA is currently accepting applications. This is a direct-hire position with our key manufacturing client. In this role, you will be responsible to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and check system functionality by running diagnostic tests. To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of an H.S. Diploma along with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
• Have experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs, Variable frequency drives, 3 phase 480vac equipment, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and general mechanical equipment
• Be able to interpret hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical schematics
• Work from Drawings, sketches, diagrams, or verbal instructions.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of maintenance operations and be able to use the tools of the job in performance of work assigned.
• Diagnose troubles and perform diversified mechanical repairs to all machinery and plant equipment, including tear down and replacement of defective parts, re-assembling and readjustments, etc.
• Assume responsibility to shut down machines to prevent serious damage; report all such instances to supervisor and assist in solving problem involved and perform proper/tag out procedures
• Follow daily, weekly or monthly maintenance schedules performing work as directed. Able to input work schedules into PC software program
• Perform such work as painting, cleaning, building and grounds maintenance, etc. as directed and keep company tools and personal tool in good order.
• Be willing and able to assist outside contractors on major overhauls and repairs to machines, building and other equipment.
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
• High School diploma or G.E.D. plus Massachusetts Master Electricians license
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Have the ability to work well in a team based environment with minimal supervision
• Have some experience fabricating
• Have experience with Fanuc controllers or other types on vertical or horizontal lathes
