Position Purpose:We value the safety of our associates! The Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician keeps our associates safe by maintaining all equipment inside the warehouses/buildings and ensuring it meets industry standards and operates efficiently according to its specific tasks.

Shift: 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM

Primary Responsibilities:The Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, adjustments, and ongoing maintenance of facilities. Performs general electrical and/or repairs of and various equipment on company premises. Conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required. Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Minimum of two-year experience in repair and maintenance of electrical- mechanical- and hydraulic equipment i.e.: control panels- PLC’s- conveyor shaft- motor and bearing replacement- etc.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them- checking blueprints- repair manuals- or parts catalogs- as necessary
  • Prior experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix Processors. Understanding of control system design and network communication interfaces is desired.
  • Work directly with production associates and management to problem-solve and correct production issues that will ensure maximum production efficiencies.
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
  • Basic understanding in areas of plumbing, sheet rock repair, painting.
  • Actively assist with planning/scheduling for CMMS tracking: work orders- parts- purchase requisitions
  • Fabricate- disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts
  • Investigates electrical and mechanical equipment failures and develops action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.
  • Ability to work multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining professional demeanor with customers and co-workers
  • Using the M-pulse Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) -Initiates purchase order for parts and machines and creates and documents hours worked on applicable work orders.
  • Ability to diagnose, service, and repair Crown PIT equipment.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair Trailer Restraint Devices, Dock leveling ramps, Dock Doors.
  • Weld- perform sheet metal work and employ basic shop floor skills (lathe- drill press- grinder- and other metalworking tools).
  • Install- move- and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
  • This person has the responsibility to operate under the Core Mark International Safety Values.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies- procedures and compliance programs.
  • Work toward achieving an injury free environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months maintenance and repair or related area
  • Maintenance and repair or related area
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 1+ years maintenance and repair or related area
  • Certifications: OSHA Forklift operator certificate; HVAC certification; ammonia

Compensation:

$25.00 – 35.00 per hour depending on experience.
