Maintenance Planner – First Shift – Ottawa, OH

This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Planner role at our Ottawa Manufacturing Plant. This role will be onsite.

1st Shift Monday to Friday

7:00 am – 3:30 pm

$34.90 an hour

In this role you will maintain efficient and safe operations of all equipment, machinery to support plant operations in the manufacture of Whirlpool refrigeration products that meet production and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Support day to day maintenance operations as needed.
  • Learn, Teach, Support and help Implement all WCM activities
  • Work with engineering and craftsmen to determine and prioritize repairs.
  • Scope the full extent of work needed to conduct the maintenance repair.
  • Write all applicable standard maintenance work procedures.
  • Discuss plans/scheduling with craftsmen.
  • Plan with production to have access to equipment.
  • Follow up to verify that the work was performed correctly.
  • Manage work orders using SAP
  • Be available to assist in off shift down time as needed
  • Purchase components for smaller projects and repair work.
  • Update equipment and preventive maintenance in SAP.
  • Assist in Preventive Maintenance schedule writing as needed
  • Understanding of 24 to 480 voltages

Minimum requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Journeyman’s Card OR 10+ years of Electrical/Mechanical experiencewithin a manufacturing environment

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Completion of Industrial Maintenance courses or technical certificate
  • Understanding of 24 to 480 voltages
  • Knowledge of mechanical parts. (chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings, etc.)
  • Knowledge of electrical parts. (fuses, drives, conduit, wire sizes, etc.)
  • Use plant maintenance software to find part
  • Use of Google, Microsoft Office products and SAP
