Pay Range
$109,350 – $135,756 Annually for the 369.1 level
$132,360 – $164,328 Annually for the 369.2 level
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We have openings for Maintenance Production Coordinators I/II. You will provide technical and administrative oversight and coordination for multi-disciplined crafts in support of preventive/corrective, maintenance, and replacement projects. You will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and directing material, equipment, and resources for work requests and initiatives to support the repair, replacement, and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, utilities, and infrastructure systems. This position is in the Infrastructure Engineering and Operations Department and may require working at Site 300 in Tracy, California.
This position will be filled at eitherlevel based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
You will
- Provide advanced technical and administrative oversight and coordination for multi-disciplined crafts in support of preventive/corrective maintenance and replacement projects.
- Develop work packages in a computerized maintenance management system to include craft-specific work scope, task breakdowns, material, and equipment required to perform work plan; develop job packages with all technical drawings needed for execution of maintenance by craft personnel.
- Initiate and lead work request and scope development meetings, job walks with customers to include multi-discipline personnel in preparation of finalizing work packages on new or existing equipment/installations on a variety of facility systems and components.
- Analyze moderately complex data in relation to work requests received, identify issues and plan projects to solve problems and implement solutions for facility maintenance and replacement issues; ensure compliance with all applicable ES&H requirements are met.
- Review work requests for possible work planning overlaps and efficient groupings of applicable tasks and trades.
- Review work requests for applicability of the Davis-Bacon (DB) Wage Determination Act and submit to DB Office for review and approval.
- Interact and collaborate with technical, administrative, and managerial personnel including safety and security personnel, and external vendors to communicate specific work plan processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional job responsibilities, at the 369.2 level
- Provide highly advanced technical and administrative oversight and coordination for multi-disciplined crafts in support of preventive/corrective maintenance and replacement projects.
- Serve as the Alternate Subcontract Technical Representative and/or Alternate Responsible Individual for various maintenance and repair subcontracts to include overseeing of subcontractor’s work to ensure safety, quality, and job completion.
- Comprise work packages utilizing expertise in various craft fields and coordinate multiple jobs simultaneously, identifying all necessary permits and operational requirements, to include nuclear and high-hazard areas.
- Plan to understand worker competencies related to the job hazard analysis.
- Train and mentor colleagues on various job requirements, to include technical assistance in your area of expertise.
- Plan and conduct meetings where major work planning concepts are translated into possible courses of action and be responsible for policy/procedure generation.
Qualifications
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in constructionor maintenance and knowledge of facility systems operations.
- Advanced journey-level work experience and abilities with electrical or mechanical systems and equipment/controls, including experience with one of the following: maintenance, construction, commissioning and testing of equipment, tools, and/or facilities.
- Advanced technical skills and knowledge of planning multiple projects to include maintenance/construction project coordination, planning/estimating, and inspecting.
- Experience effectively leading planning meetings to obtain consensus and execute project objectives.
- Advanced customer service communication skills necessary to interact and collaborate tactfully and diplomatically, in writing and verbally, with all levels of technical and administrative personnel.
- Knowledge of equipment types, materials, and methods used for repair and maintenance of conventional facility systems.
- Advanced knowledge of the application of safety policies and procedures, regulatory requirements for equipment maintenance, and security regulations.
- Experience utilizing personal computers and related software (e.g., email, Microsoft Word, etc.) and associated work control software to manage and track job orders.
Additional qualifications at the 369.2 level
- Highly advanced experience, technical skills, and knowledge of planning of multiple projects to include maintenance/construction project coordination, planning, estimating, and inspecting.
- Experience providing highly advanced technical and administrative oversight of Procured Work Services subcontracted work and providing direction to others.
- Highly advanced knowledge of the types of equipment, materials, and methods used for repair and maintenance of conventional facility systems and maintenance procedures including scheduling, job estimating, and planning of tasks that could affect building activities and alternative courses of action.
- Experience conducting meetings to formulate ideas/concepts where policy/procedures are generated in support of job planning.

Site 300
Site 300 is an experimental test site operated by LLNL. Situated on 7,000 acres in rural foothills approximately six miles southwest of downtown Tracy and 15 miles southeast of Livermore, Site 300 hosts approximately 200 employees with expertise in such fields as engineering, chemistry, biology, and environmental restoration. Employees assigned to work at Site 300 may be exposed to the organism that causes San Joaquin Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis ).
Security Clearance
This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.If you are selected, wewill initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if youmeet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
