Maintenance Supervisor – Alcatraz City Cruises

Salary Range $25.00 – $27.00

City Experiences is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Alcatraz operation in San Francisco.

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The Maintenance Supervisor will provide hands-on leadership and oversight of tasks performed by the Facilities Agents. This includes oversight and management of individuals and projects taking place on the Landing, Island, Richmond, and onboard the vessels. The Maintenance Supervisor will directly assist the Maintenance Manager in completing all necessary functions within the maintenance department in order to keep the operation fully functional. The Maintenance Supervisor will also directly work with both the Engineering and Marine Operations departments to complete tasks and projects pertaining to all aspects of the operation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Facilities Agents
  • Ensure essential duties are performed
  • Assist with scheduling
  • Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained
  • Assist with training of new personnel
  • Communicates to management when equipment is not working.
  • Cleans windows in Restaurant on a weekly basis.

On Landing:

  • Cleans bathrooms, including replenishing supplies such as towels, soap and toilet paper.
  • Checks all garbage bins, empty when necessary.
  • Sweeps, vacuums, mops; inside and outside
  • Opens and close offices, ticket booth and restaurant by emptying trash, sweep, vacuum.
  • Sort Garbage
  • Paint

On Island:

  • Check sewage lines
  • Opens flushing system regularly
  • Collects garbage and put out for boats
  • Applies chlorine water
  • Cleans restrooms, as usual
  • Paint

On Vessel:

  • Cleans bathrooms, including replenishing supplies such as towels, soap and toilet paper.
  • Checks all garbage bins, empty when necessary.
  • Sweeps, vacuums, mops; inside and outside
  • Regularly sanitize the vessel using approved sanitizing agents
  • Regularly participate in Emergency drills required by the USCG, but not limited to: Man Overboard, Abandon Ship, Fire Response, Bilge Dewatering, Security, and Spill Response.
  • Assist vessel crew with other duties, as needed and assigned by Captain or First Officer/Senior Deckhand.

Night crew:

  • Pump sewage
  • Cleans boats
  • Puts out garbage
  • Additional job duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 2-year maintenance experience preferred
