This role supports the Enterprise Data Center for our organization from a technical building facilities perspective. Working independently with minimal supervision, operates, analyzes and monitors critical data center systems and infrastructure for required 100% Up-Time. Performs planned and corrective maintenance on electrical, HVAC, mechanical, life safety, plumbing and Critical Power Systems. Operates industrial HVAC systems, including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers and Variable Frequency Driven pumps and motors. Operates life safety systems, including fire alarm and suppression systems. Evaluates and diagnoses system problems. Independently perform maintenance while following prescribed procedures verbatim. Incumbents are not permitted to deviate from standard practices and procedures, but may be permitted to set priorities, subject to supervisory approval.
Shift work required – Must be able to work day, night and weekend shift rotations, including overtime and holidays.
The work location and interviews for this role will be held at 750 Oakleaf Plantation Parkway, Orange Park, 32065 . The hours for this role are from 11 PM – 7 AM Monday-Friday with start time of Sunday 11PM and end time of Friday 7 AM. All uniform items are included as a part of this position except for personal belt. A clean motor vehicle report must be completed to be eligible for this role.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Independently monitor and operate critical data center equipment using Automated Building Management System.
- Monitor vendor’s performance of equipment systems maintenance (HVAC mechanical life safety plumbing).
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Repair mechanical, electrical, building and plumbing systems.

Additional Required Qualifications
1+ year of experience with Automated Building Management System. Experienced in chiller plant operations. Experience working on a computer in a Windows environment. Experienced in redundant electrical systems (for example; UPS, STS, on-site generating systems). Experienced reading blueprints and mechanical, electrical and plumbing plans. Possess astute Critical Thinking Skills that can promptly be transformed into Critical Power Systems sustaining efforts. Use analytical thinking with discernment to quickly evaluate situational conditions to promptly prioritize and execute necessary actions. Must meet the requirements to be classified as a Regular Driver in accordance with Vehicle Use Policy Number 4.16.
Preferred Licenses and Certifications
Related electrical or HVAC related licenses.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Data Center Facilities operation. Knowledge of on-site generating systems.

Hourly Pay Range: $24 – $39
Typical Hourly Pay Range: $24 – $29* + 15% shift differential
*Hourly rate is based on years of experience and skill set but is budgeted up to $29/hour.
