Base Pay: Starting around $30.00/hr
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of all mold-related manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment. You will also be responsible for related safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility.
- Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Dependable job attendance is expected.
Shift Information: 8-hr shifts, M-F, overtime/weekends as needed
- Shutdown coverage: Plant shuts down between Christmas and New Year’s; maintenance team is scheduled to work that shut down coverage, with days given off during beginning of calendar year.
Work Environment: Findlay, OH Tall Timbers Mold Operations Plant
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing and eye protection, protective clothing, and steel-toed shoes.
- The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the facility.
Job specific details include, but are not limited to:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of equipment to ensure optimum operating conditions and uptime across all related crafts
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain machines and drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems
- Perform PLC maintenance issues
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and other mechanical issues
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals and manufacturing specifications
- Log or use computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed
- Abide by safe work standards including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash)
- Adhere to Goodyear’s attendance policy
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience Industrial Maintenance experience with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery and power/control devices, PLCs, variable frequency drives, servo drives, power distribution, instrumentation, preventative maintenance, human machine interfaces, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Journeyman’s card or Associate Degree in A.A.S
- Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards
