Weyerhaeuser’s Western Timberlands Trucking operations in Longview, WA has a Maintenance Utility opening. This is a full-time hourly position, with the shift schedule being 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (Mon. – Thurs.) and 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Fri.). Hourly employees at this operation are represented by the IAM-AW Union. Benefits, in accordance with the Labor Agreement, include Medical, Dental, Vision, Vacation, Holidays and 401(k). The rate of pay starts at $23.345 per hour, with the ability to move up to $27.020 after proven competency according to the labor agreement, there is also a shift differential of $1.00 per hour for working swing shift.
Key Functions:
- Ability to successfully complete appropriate fuel truck driver training provided by the Company under current training guidelines.
- Safely operate the fuel pumps on the fuel tank and fuel truck.
- Operate and safely drive the fuel truck.
- Follow all environmental laws and regulations with the ability to perform fuel spill cleanups.
- Perform miscellaneous jobs in and around the truck shop to include but not limited to clean up and basic preventative. maintenance activities (ex: greasing, dismounting tires and wheel assemblies, truck and trailer inspections, oil change, and brake adjustments, etc.)
- Inventory and track supplies; filters, lubricants, monitor bulk tank and dispensing tools.
- Process, receive and track bulk fuel shipments and dispensing, along with performing basic operator care for equipment and bulk dispensing systems
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience performing preventative maintenance tasks preferred
- Ability to drive a fuel truck and operate fuel pumps
- Safety-conscious, taking the personal initiative to work safely, contributing to the safety of the team members, and maintaining a safe work environment
- General mechanical aptitude
- Ability and willingness to work on varying shifts
- Valid driver’s license
- Successfully complete a post-offer physical exam, drug screen and background check

Compensation: Your wages and benefits are set by the labor agreement between Weyerhaeuser and the union representing employees at this work site.
