Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Management Consultant Intern to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Management Consultant Intern, you will work closely with our Alternative Project Delivery team to develop and implement project controls tools and procedures that will aid in the successful delivery of large capital projects and support Arcadis’ functional initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from experienced project controls and project management professionals while gaining firsthand experience on how transportation megaprojects are planned and executed. This role will be on-site to both develop and implement a basic level of project controls capability across our Arcadis’s Mobility project portfolio as well as be introduced to contracts, risk, and engineering management principles.
Role accountabilities:
- Assist in development and implementation of cost and schedule work breakdown structures.
- Show the ability to understand the development and maintenance of resource planning and costing schedules.
- Work closely with Project Controls Manager to assist in project support activities relating to cost, schedule, and change management.
- Create contract summaries and analysis as needed to support tender and detail design procurements.
- Work with Project Controls Manager and Finance to support in codifying and cleaning data required for earned value analysis.
- Assist with generating reports using historical information to present trend findings.
- Attend meetings as necessary to support project teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in construction/engineering industry preferred.
