JOB SUMMARY
This career opportunity is within the Cognizant Business Consulting organization and aligned with the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) business line. This is a US-based leadership role to help us expand our Wealth & Investment Management Practice. The individual(s) selected for this role will do this by focusing on expanding existing accounts / opportunities, and by building relationships with emerging clients and prospects. The holder(s) of this role will grow our portfolio of services and C-level relationship, to enable this growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Growth: Identify new consulting opportunities across a select book of new and existing client relationships (defined by region, by segment) in conjunction with account teams in North American Banking & Financial Services; focus on growing Consulting’s business contribution to accounts through strategic, differentiated sales and higher billing rates and margins. Ensure Consulting opens new business opportunities and expands Cognizant’s client positioning
- Define Solutions: Identify, develop and refine our industry services and solutions relevant to the Wealth & Investment Management market and clients. Lead client delivery teams in the execution of complex engagements to provide exceptional results for our clients’ most challenging business and technology initiatives. Influence the development of our industry solutions to differentiate Cognizant’s offering and market profile
- Build Competencies: Take an active role in building, supporting expanding capabilities and competencies in our Consulting practice team by training, recruiting, mentoring and by extension in the accounts we serve
- Increase Visibility: Lead, participate in thought leadership efforts internally and at industry forums to continue to build Cognizant’s mindshare with key stakeholders at client organizations

- Thought Leadership – ability to interact with industry leaders, formulate POV’s addressing key industry trends, propose solutions (including investment decisions), and publish / deliver viewpoints via various channels and forums (client meetings, blogs, industry events, etc.)
- Personal Drive – entrepreneurial, can-do attitude; ability to navigate and influence in a complex and dynamic organization, build structure within uncertainty; bring a strong desire to learn and shape the future of our practice (revenue, headcount growth) and personal career path
IDEAL EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will possess:
- 15+ years of management consulting + industry experience, with a track record of business generation, practice building and on-going client relationships with most recent experience in the Wealth & Investment Management segment
- A keen understanding of major wealth management industry trends spanning business, technology, digital; strong understanding of consumer, regulatory, digital, operational and cost forces shaping change agenda within the Wealth & Investment Management industry
- A significant record of accomplishment consulting with wealth management enterprises on a diverse set of strategic and operational issues, including experience building solutions for front, middle and back office processes across retail / intermediary / private banking wealth operations & critical services, including digital transformation, process optimization, operating model design
- Experience / expertise working with major wealth & brokerage platforms such – e.g., Broadridge, Refinitiv; custodians – e.g., Pershing, National Financial; and/or investment platforms – e.g., FNZ, Temenos, Envestnet or similar
- Experience managing large transformation / programs – including managing teams across multi-disciplinary teams; understanding of large program delivery and complexities
- Experience creating partnerships / solutions with Fintechs – e.g., InvestCloud, Personetics and emerging technologies – e.g., Blockchain and Crypto
- Experience leading the proposal development process, contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategy, including engaging internal teams for solution design and articulating a value proposition
- Exceptional communication skills in a variety of channels and settings; experience developing credible, compelling, and analytically-based deliverables to convey complex thoughts and ideas to senior stakeholders; experience and executive presence to represent Cognizant confidently and convincingly among the highest levels of client executives.
- MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred; Bachelor degree required
- East coast location preferred (NY/NJ, Greater Charlotte); ability to travel as needed
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $112,177.00 – $147,542.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
