We are currently seeking a Manager, Accounts Payable (AP) to lead AP operation and support scale the growth. This individual is a key member of the accounting team, responsible to manage accounts payable process, systems, transformation, SOX, oversee outsourced functions, vendor creation, payments, analysis, and for the month / quarter end close, day to day accounts payable operations, analytics and internal reporting. The role requires establishing and maintaining working relationships with business partners across the organization, supporting management with analysis, and working closely with outsourced functions.
The Role:
- The Manager of Accounts Payable will have primary oversight to the outsourced function of Procure to Pay, liaising with the Supply Chain team
- Direct and oversees the daily accounting operations of the AP including review of disbursements for payments, monitoring of accounts payable aging reports, and ensuring accounts payable queues are being managed effectively and efficiently
- Lead and provide support in the design and implementation of process improvements, including standardization, enhancements and potential automation of existing processes and systems.
- Collaborate with business owners and suppliers to ensure policies and procedures are effectively communicated and followed.
- Deliver and reports on KPI metrics for accounts payable function that will identify opportunities and enhance visibility for business strategies
- Assist in the preparation of the accounts payable close process and related reporting deliverables, including reviewing all reconciliations as they pertain to accounts payable and expense related transactions and aging reports to ensure the accuracy of the financials
- Manage or assist as necessary the master data elements for vendors, including credit lines, payment terms and banking information
- Review batches of invoices for data entry, including two and three-way matching to purchase orders
- Evaluates and improves processes and systems for EMEA and KSA regions
- Manage compliance and process of 1099 return preparation
- Collaborate with transformation project team and support the Accounts Payable function in transforming the systems and processes to scale Procure to Pay
- Ensure a robust internal controls structure and compliance with SOX for all areas of ownership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Working knowledge of SAP, VIM Analytics, Coupa, Blackline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop team members
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Works well with multiple individuals from across Supply Chain, Trade Compliance, Finance, Tax, Risk Management, and Internal and External Auditors
- Self-starter and strong desire to achieve results, passionate about quality, results and progress
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
• California (Bay Area) – $131,000 – $187,000
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
