Manager – BART Systems Operations

To manage activities and employees performing financial system operations support for the Ball Aerospace Resource Tool (BART), and ensure all policies, procedures, and programs meet operational objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Select, motivate, and counsel employees; ensure employee safety; plan, organize, integrate, and measure work performed within the department.
  • Meet with direct reports often to review performance, address issues, obtain feedback on processes/tools, address career development, and review training needs.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure personal growth and management visibility.
  • Complete performance review and job requirements documentation for direct reports on an annual basis. Meet with appropriate stakeholders at least twice a year to obtain feedback on direct reports.
  • Flow down Finance Operations goals to direct reports.
  • Primary point of contact for BART Financial Reporting system.
  • Develop and maintain practices and documentation for ensuring that access is only provided to appropriate individuals and that access is appropriate for their job role.
  • Facilitate Change Control activities with leadership and primary stakeholders to define, prioritize, design, and implement changes.
  • Ensure system changes meet requirements, have adequate administrative documentation, maintain up-to-date training materials, and are implemented using best practices.
  • Manage system updates for accurate data and business reporting needs.
  • Ensure system adapts to changing business requirements and ITS infrastructure changes.
  • Provide excellent communication to stakeholders regarding training opportunities, system changes, and operational data as appropriate. Develop training materials, and teach classes related to system use.
  • Act as a trusted business advisor to provide business solutions to stakeholders.
  • Make formal and informal presentations both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

What You’ll Need:

  • BS in related field plus 10 or more years of related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • US Government contracting experience with FAR, DFARS and CAS understanding preferred.
  • Finance leadership with the management skills to set direction and create goals that align with business requirements and timelines, prioritize tasks and enforcing accountability.
  • Excellent customer service, accountability, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
  • Drive for results and execution excellence with financial, business management, and technical skills.
  • Team building and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating at a fast pace.
  • Ability to multi-task.

    • Deltek Costpoint
    • EcoSys/Ball Aerospace Resource Tool (BART)
    • Advanced Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI

Flexible On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three or more days per work week. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $111,000 – $154,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
