Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and ensure the efficient operation and optimal performance of our CNC machines. The CNC Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair activities related to our CNC machines, ensuring that they are operating at peak efficiency and minimizing downtime. This critical role involves managing the maintenance team, scheduling preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving machine issues, and managing inventory and budgets. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CNC machine maintenance, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of CNC maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring performance meets maintenance goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and support professional development opportunities for team members.
- Perform and coordinate preventive and routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues with CNC machines promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with maintenance team to develop effective maintenance procedures and standard operating practices.
- Schedule and Prioritize Maintenance Tasks
- Respond to emergency repair requests and prioritize tasks based on machine criticality.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
- Generate reports on maintenance metrics, machine performance, and costs for management review.
- Manage spare parts, tools, and supplies inventory required for CNC machine maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary resources.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain CNC machines to meet quality and precision standards.
- Manage the maintenance budget, optimize costs, and control expenses related to repairs and replacements.
- Interact with suppliers and service providers to obtain necessary parts, equipment, or external maintenance support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance CNC machine performance and reliability.
- Implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Be available for emergency call-outs to address critical machine breakdowns during crucial production periods.
Requirements:
- A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- 10+ years of related experience in a CNC environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical is required
- Proven experience as a CNC Maintenance Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of CNC machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a maintenance team.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards for machine maintenance.
- Proficiency in maintaining records, generating reports, and utilizing maintenance management software.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

$85,000 – $105,000 a year
The U.S. national annual base salary range for this role is $85-105K a year. The range includes the base salary that is expected to be paid for this role. Actual base salary will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to the scope and complexity of the role, the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, peer and market data and geographic location.
