The Role

The Estée Lauder Companies, one of the world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, makeup, fragrance and hair care products is seeking a Manager, Corporate Affairs & Communications, North America to help lead and implement employee communications activities that support and amplify our global brand and regional strategy. This role will report to the Executive Director, Corporate Affairs and Communications, North America.

This person should be passionate and knowledgeable about strategies and tactics that drive employee and stakeholder engagement and shape our culture. We are looking for a proactive, creative, strategic thinker, agile problem-solver with exceptional execution and attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Responsibilitie

  • Play an instrumental role in driving employee engagement and optimizing the employee experience
  • Work with NA Corporate Communications, Regional HR, Global Communications and other internal key stakeholders to develop communications plans and programs that align with business priorities and drive stakeholder understanding of corporate/regional strategy, objectives and goals and highlight our enterprise brand equity pillars
  • Oversees day-to-day planning and execution of holistic employee campaigns, including culture and engagement, leadership communications, organizational communications, transformation and business and strategic updates
  • Represent the NA Corporate Communications team as a thought partner, writer and editor to plan content for a wide range of internal communications mediums including organizational announcements, stories, emails, videos and town halls
  • Facilitate short- and long-term calendar management and planning for internal events including town halls and webcasts
  • Prepare briefing documents, communications plans, and other presentation decks and materials for senior leaders
  • Collaborate with regional communications colleagues and cross functional thought partners to drive high impact outcomes at scale
  • Willingness to collaborate and jump in on ad hoc projects as needed with flexibility and agility consistent with our fast-paced environment
  • Regularly measure and report on engagement and employee sentiment
  • Facilitate external communications vetting, speaking engagements and regional media monitoring
  • Support issues working group crisis briefings and liaise with stakeholders on follow up and resolutions as needed

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in corporate communications preferably for a high-profile global brand with expertise in managing corporate communications that drive leader external stakeholder, employee engagement and business culture
  • Experience leading and organizing complex events
  • Strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives in support of our business strategies
  • Deadline driven, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently evolving priorities
  • Excellent executive presence
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and experience interfacing with corporate functions and departments across all levels of leaders/employees
  • Prior management of complex projects and advising peers and managers
  • Ability to influence work with various departments and teams to drive alignment and collaboration
  • Ability to manage workload, be flexible and proactive, work under tight deadlines, ensure high quality and accuracy with the utmost professionalism
  • A self-starter with an optimistic spirit and a “can do / results-oriented” attitude
  • Able to handle confidential information with sensitivity, integrity and good judgement
  • Skilled in PowerPoint and other elements or Microsoft Office Suite, experience with video production, SharePoint and internal social platforms

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $81,000 to $133,000. Exact salary depends on several

factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on

geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a

highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance

and company results.
