Manager, Digital Marketing – Social Media

Overview & Responsibilities:

The Paramount Theatrical Marketing Manager, Social Media will support the ideation and execution of digital and social campaigns for new movie releases and the company brand channels.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Director of Social with the management of organic social, paid social, and publicity driven projects for the digital marketing team.
  • Manage social content ops for platforms (Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, YouTube, Snap, Pinterest, Threads as well as Slack, Google Drive, etc).
  • Project manage a high volume of social media creative for multiple marketing campaigns concurrently.
  • Approach social content management holistically; Creative (conception, direction, and creation), copy, trends, platform standard processes, organic & paid standard processes, audience identification, content capture (events, etc.) timeliness and partner feedback should all be considered.
  • Manage and liaise with outside vendors and agencies.
  • Proactively brainstorm, communicate, and implement emerging trends in the social space.
  • Assist with social content capture and live coverage at red carpet premieres, junkets, custom content days, and creator events.
  • Manage calendar of anniversaries, holidays, and events social calendar for owned and operated channels.
  • Develop social paid media briefs and work with AOR on setting up units.
  • Coordinate access/admin credentials for title social channels.
  • Coordinate and update shared team documents to support project management (budget grid, link directory, SharePoint, ARC).
  • Stay abreast of enterprise solutions and tools to help manage the volume of campaigns.
  • Generate POs and facilitate admin invoice processing and budget coding across all campaigns.
  • Manage legal and rights-holders’ expectations to ensure social content is fully compliant.
  • Liaise with internal teams including cross-functional marketing departments, mastering, content protection, and others.
  • Update assets onto studio-branded internal and external properties.
  • Make content examples to explore platform trends, illustrate narrative opportunities, and maintain comfort with industry-leading social platforms

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in social media management within film, media/entertainment, creative agency, or closely related categories.
  • Digital and social media native.
  • Experience crafting and posting videos and content within social platforms (TikTok, Instagram).
  • A/V creative design experience and Adobe Creative Suite familiarity a bonus!
  • Meticulous and analytical-acute attention to detail.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 – 85,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
