Role Overview

The Logistics Manager is an instrumental role in preparing, processing, and moving merchandise productively and accurately according to established guidelines including international and national laws, regulations, and industry standards. They will work independently amongst the team to collaborate across global company functions that rely on the movement of goods and ensures that expectations or deadlines are communicated amongst all stakeholders.

The primary areas of focus or function may include but are not limited to inbound and outbound transportation initiatives, adhering to strict scheduling guidelines, and tracking and tracing. This role will report to the Director of Heritage and Stones and will be based in New York City.

Responsibilities (or Mission)

  • Schedule and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries with all stakeholders
  • Manage a variety of SAP tasks for virtual movements of goods and track and transfer jobs to appropriate teams
  • Liaise with local and international departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of logistics requests
  • Coordinate with logistics, workshop, transportation, security, and customer service teams
  • Prepare and pack product and required documentation
  • Prepare domestic and international shipping documents such as carnet requests for special events
  • Prepare affidavits and all documentation to comply to US Fish and Wildlife guidelines
  • Meticulous data entry and record keeping such as updating inventory tracking files and numerous internal databases
  • Collaborate with team members on departmental projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or relevant field or experience
  • A minimum of 7+ years experience in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management
  • Understands procedures related to overseas shipping, customs, and inland freight
  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers
  • Applied understanding of SAP essential
  • Meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic, required
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to multitask, required
  • Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, required

Salary Range- $95K- $110K /yr.

Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.

This role is bonus eligible.
