NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range

$101,400 – $172,300

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

The selected candidate will shape the future by providing strategic direction, aligning Human Resources (HR) functional priorities with Sandia’s strategic objectives, inspiring boundary breaking, and driving innovation and change to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. They will also directly support members of Sandia’s Senior Leadership team, delivering customer value by recognizing customer needs and developing, implementing, and maintaining process and team capabilities to deliver products and services.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:

  • Provide coaching and strategic direction related to talent management, succession planning, talent pipelines, work force planning, and employee experience
  • Partner with HR Center of Excellence (CoE) staff to design and deliver programs addressing key topics affecting workforce attraction, retention, and development
  • Own the development and effective execution of large-scale company and division programs and initiatives that are deployed through the HRBP team
  • Provide consultation on complex talent management and organizational issues
  • Lead and manage individual contributor HR team members, including hiring, professional development, and growth
  • Energize the team by leading, managing, mentoring, and ensuring an inclusive work environment

This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.

Qualifications We Require

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant field, plus 8 years related Human Resources experience
    • 5 years of which must include supporting executive management
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire

  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources or a relevant field
  • At least 2 years demonstrated leadership experience
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, PHR, or another relevant HR certification
  • 8 years HR experience in at least 2 different HR fields
  • Experience managing matrixed employees

Security Clearance
