Position: Manager I, Advanced Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA, 94066

Duties: H elp drive monetization by delivering insights and analysis with end-to-end ownership across multiple Walmart Connect’s products including Display, Sponsored, and Offsite products. Design and optimize the data pipelines which perform complete ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using Airflow, Python, and SQL and ensure uninterrupted data delivery by maintaining the backend codes and tables. Build several aggregated tables and views using Google BigQuery and Python that can be ingested for creating dashboards and used for analytics purposes. Design and maintain self-service Tableau dashboards to aid leadership in making data-driven business decisions. Use API calls to gather data from various vendors such as MOAT and DFP and bring it into the Walmart network. Utilize the API to send hourly or daily alerts through email or slack. Perform statistical analysis such as regression, hypothesis testing, and incrementality analysis and present concrete hypothesis-driven impactful deliverables clearly answering the so-what for Walmart Connect advertisers. Support the development of executive-level dashboards and presentations and provide management level visibility through weekly updates on key initiatives and KPIs for the team. Collaborate with Product and Sales to improve on yield KPIs by providing data-driven insights and recommendations. This position does not supervise other employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field and 1 year of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience building SQL queries and views to perform data analysis using BigQuery, MS SQL Server, Teradata, and Athena on S3. Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining self-served automated dashboards on Tableau, QlikView, and QuickSight. Experience developing and optimizing end-to-end ETL pipelines by aggregating and joining data using Python, SQL, Dataproc, Airflow, and R. Experience working on API calls utilizing Python or R to fetch automated data for data analysis or provide daily trends for alerting capabilities. Experience generating actionable insights from big data taking into account past trends, seasonality, and new launches and presenting business health to leadership. Experience performing statistical analysis including regression, hypothesis testing, incrementality analysis, and pair matching and clustering. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: The annual salary range for this full-time position is $116,646/year to $156,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
