As the Analyst on the Sales Insights & Analytics team, you will be responsible for supporting the General Merchandising business leaders at Walmart Connect. This will entail analysis of their book of business across various cohorts, surfacing risks and opportunities leveraging pipeline metrics, and building merchant relationships to better understand the WMC & retail environments.
Role and Responsibilities
Industry Insights
- Drives change in the development and improvement of new or existing sales reporting across General Merchandising (GM) industries, identifies opportunities for process optimization or development of new processes, and provides recommendations/solutions to tackle Industry specific business challenges
- Supports Industry Analysts with weekly/monthly/quarterly level reporting to derive industry specific insights, assess risk, and discover new areas of growth to inform overall business strategy for the current and future fiscal year
- Oversees data management including auditing and resolving data integrity issues within our reporting systems
- Cultivates strong working relationships with key cross-functional partners including Sales, Strategy, Product, Measurement, etc. to evaluate requests or key business issues
Ad-hoc support
- Leverage analytical tools (SQL, Power BI) to provide reporting & support data-driven analyses for the General Merchandise team at Walmart Connect
- Manages processes and projects to support the Sales Insights & Analytics team, ensuring they move forward & meet key deadlines. Support & develop trainings & documentation to support rollout of these initiatives, and follow-through with Sales to ensure compliance and adoption.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in Data Analytics, Sales Ops, Biz Ops, Finance, Strategy, or related industry
- Proficiency in SQL, SFDC, GCP, PowerBI, Tableau or any dashboarding tools
- Knowledge of the digital ecosystem and digital advertising
- Has strong communication/interpersonal skills and is able to build relationships and influence cross-functionally
- You have strong exploratory data analysis skills and the ability to make analytical, data driven recommendations and solutions.
- You have compelling, persuasive oral and written communication skills and can build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and often lack of clarity, demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- High level of accountability; proven ability to take ownership and solve problems
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS or equivalent 4-year degree required in Business, Analytics, Finance, Media Advertising, or related field
- 1 year experience in Data Analytics, Sales Ops, Biz Ops, Finance, Strategy, or related industry
- Expertise in Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Independent Self-Starter: Takes prompt, proactive action to accomplish work goals with limited oversight.

The annual salary range for this position is $78,750.00-$131,250.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
– Stock equity incentives
