Walmart Marketplace is seeking a dynamic and motivated Strategy and Business Development, Manager I, for our Inbound Seller Acquisition team. You will manage the inbound business development lifecycle from seller outreach to supporting sellers through onboarding and advising them on how to scale and be successful on Walmart Marketplace. You will be chartered with developing and managing a sales pipeline mixed with high value and transactional accounts while executing sales strategies and driving activity to meet acquisition targets. You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within the senior management and executive teams of prospective accounts, along with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to create and present compelling Walmart Marketplace solutions that meet and exceed seller requirements. You’ll make an impact by:

  • Managing a sales pipeline: Prospect and manage a pipeline of high-value, strategic accounts across key categories, specifically within Home. Develop creative solutions at scale to achieve efficiencies that identify new prospects and build a strong pipeline.
  • Launching new sellers: Create a clear value proposition for selling on Walmart.com and successfully launch news sellers to achieve annual targets. Set proper expectations and manage towards a growth plan .
  • Building relationships with key decision makers: Develop relationships with key influencers and decision-makers within senior management of prospective accounts, along with internal stakeholders and working teams to develop business plans that exceed expectations. • Understand Sellers’ goals, decision-making processes, and success metrics.
  • Driving new partner success: Oversee the onboarding process for new strategic sellers and develop initial targets and actions plans that accelerate item setup and improve offer quality and discoverability.
  • Advocating for the platform : Drive awareness and adoption of new seller services including Walmart Fulfilment Services (WFS), Walmart Connect and more. May attend trade shows and external/internal events to generate new partner opportunities.
  • Being seller obsessed: Gather seller feedback and partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, site operations, partner support, etc.) to continuously improve the platform and experience.
  • Working Efficiently and at Scale : We work in a 1:many capacity, and your ability to develop processes that allow you to move quickly and efficiently, while also sharing your learnings across the team, will set up you and our sellers for the most success!

Preferred Qualification:

  • 3+ years of successful sales/business development experience, preferably in e-commerce, marketplace or retail tech
  • Experience prospecting, qualifying, and cold-calling companies
  • Experience managing a pipeline and moving prospects through the funnel.
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships and influence senior stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both micro and macro
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce, or other CRMs
  • Experience with mass email communication tools
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed. Demonstrates initiative in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

The annual salary range for this position is $56,000.00-$120,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives
