Overview:
The main role of the Afternoon Shift Manager is to monitor employees, carriers, and meeting customer requirements before they become a crisis. Responsible for providing supervision to the front line staff that handles all Afternoon Shift related business and assist Account Managers in providing resources when needed. Collaborate with sales and pricing departments to identify new business opportunities, on board new lanes of business, and to establish, modify, and ensure adherence to departmental procedures. Assist other Managers in being on-call every 5 weeks, and this would cover ALL Operational activities and decisions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage (9) Operations Coordinators, assist Acct Mgrs w/resource requirements
- Strategic OEM (Ford, GM, Chrysler), Tier 1 and Tier 2, and LLP Contact
- Day-to-Day Operations Rail Linehaul Management (CSX, UPRR, KCSM, and FXE)
- Day-to-Day Operations Dray Carrier Management
- Assist in New Business Implementation
- Liaise with Mexico operations
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Required Education
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Business or a related field preferred.
Experiences
- Minimum of five (5) years of automotive operations and automotive account experience required. Within this, must have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
Skill Sets
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite Applications
- Knowledge of query tools and reporting

The typical salary range for this position is: $69,762 – $77,190.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
