Manager – Land Management

Responsibilities

Oversees, provide guidance and directions to the assigned group of Energy Land Management employees on their daily activity referred to programs and/or projects, focus on leases, including obligations and revenues. Manage team workload and makes decisions on daily activities and financial aspects of land management projects.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work and range of responsibilities):

1. Organize and distribute workload among direct reports or contractors of his/her group on a cost-efficient way.
2. Coordinate the following activities, focus on leases, in support of the assigned team:
– Negotiation of leases on behalf of the Business according to specific guidelines and requirements
– Analyze and manage lease contracts to ensure that the appropriate terms and conditions are inputted into SAP for processing, payment, invoicing, and reporting.
– Facilitate resolution of billing and payment inquiries and questions
– Research lease status and conditions to support Business needs including Projects
– Evaluate existing leases for additional opportunities such as sale of property
– Prepare monthly reports to facilitate the needs of Management and Business Teams, fulfill financial reporting requirements and document internal controls.

3. Advice on plans and budgets for programs and projects. Oversee progress against plans and reports to Director.
4. Coordinates efforts, if applicable, to cross-functional projects. Holds regular program/project status meetings with Director
5. Lead in accomplishing day-to-day goals and provides expertise and decision making to internal and external project resources
6. Sets goals and direction for project with project timeline
7. Proactive approach to overseeing work accomplishments and takes action to ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved.
8. Provides recommendations on policies, procedures and goals; implements approved new/revised processes and procedures as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Land Management, Engineer, Financial or similar with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in managing Land Management or Right of Way projects or 7 years demonstrated experience as a leader of those projects, including but not limited to overseeing external and internal resources, identifying and managing project scope, budget control, creating and implementing local and global process standards and tools, training and reporting.
– PMP or equivalent Project Management certification desirable.
– Experience in property accounting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, auditing and risk management preferred
– Experience interpreting real estate and lease contracts

The salary range for this position is based on experience, ranging from $101,600 to $127,000.00.
