Job Purpose and Function
As the Manager of Maintenance & Facilities for Dash In and Splash In, your role is critical in ensuring that all company facilities are well-maintained and in working order. This requires coordination with internal personnel to identify the scope of work, develop a proper scope of work, and reviewing bids and proposals from outside vendors and contractors. You will be responsible for selecting and supervising these vendors and contractors and minimizing any negative impact on customers and sales.
Additionally, you will need to ensure that all contractors are qualified to perform the requested work and that any work performed is completed to proper specifications. This includes administering and managing all monthly maintenance contracts and service contracts, such as those for HVAC, food/refrigerated equipment, and petroleum equipment maintenance, as well as landscaping, waste, and other store services.
To be effective in your role, you must utilize the company’s maintenance software to track maintenance work and ensure that it is in line with developed KPIs that drive growth through improved customer and employee experiences. You must also make sure that all facilities and above-ground structures and equipment are in working order, including buildings, dispensers, canopies, and all store-level equipment. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the purchasing of replacement equipment needed for company facilities including store and petroleum equipment for existing open and operating locations.
Overall, your role as Manager of Maintenance & Facilities is crucial to the success of the company. You will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and in good working order, which will help to ensure a positive customer experience and drive growth for the business.

- Communicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these at to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
- Manage and deliver required service levels for a portfolio of facilities services and respond in a timely manner.
- Establish and implement high levels of customer service while supervising a small maintenance and facilities team. Deal with complex and valuable issues. Create a sense of urgency to respond rapidly to a variety of situations.
- Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control.
- Deliver required outcomes by managing day-to-day relationships with contract service provider while working within an established contract management plan.
- Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organization’s performance management systems to improve personal performance. Manager and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level, preferably with a degree in Construction or a related Engineering field.
- Over 10 years of experience in facilities maintenance in a multi-unit environment.
- Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver results while leading a small team, will be hands on as well as managing the team.
- Elevated proficiency using Microsoft Office tools
