THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
In this role, you will manage operations and media strategy for Ulta Beauty’s retail media network, UB Media to maximize ad revenue and profitability. This position will oversee performance of external agencies and technology vendors by ensuring that SLAs are met, relevant policies and guidelines are upheld, and partners can deliver excellence and innovation. In addition, the Manager, Media Operations in partnership with UBM’s Sales & Account Management (S&AM) team will develop and manage our go-to-market planning framework. Furthermore, this role will work with our PR team to lead UB Media’s external marketing plans to drive our position in the retail media industry.
YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

- Assess and define UB Media’s digital media operating model and ad buying strategy
- Oversee the strategy and delivery of work for media planning across partners which includes proposals, planning, execution, management, and optimization of end-to-end campaign plans
- In partnership Sales & Account Management, create the Go-to-market planning framework and rollout with brand partners
- Partner closely with MarTech Operations to identify and prioritize product, service, and process optimization opportunities
- Partner with account management, sales, and analytics to define metrics, measure performance, and seek methods to improve results
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement quality assurance processes for new ad products
- Manage UBM’s external marketing plans in collaboration with our PR team
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support billing process and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on-time
- Oversee and track Ad Agencies and Tech vendors performance and deliver against their objectives
- Assess current and potential Ad Agency and Tech vendors partnerships
- Develop and manage our new vendor onboarding process
- Co-lead the AdTech roadmap and go-to-market strategy across ad products
- Recognize and adopt best practices in Retail Media Network advertising to recommend operating models and processes that will maximize ad revenue and margin for UB Media
- Provide functional knowledge to guide on strategy, direction, and timing of future AdTech & MarTech
THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- 5+ years of experience in digital media operations or digital media planning in an ad agency, publisher, ad network or retail media network
- Platform experience across ad serving (CM360, GAM, Criteo, CitrusAd), DSP (Epsilon, DV360, TTD), and paid social (Meta, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok) ad technologies
- Understanding of digital marketing buying workflow, operational process, and enabling adtech
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into tech implications, and ability to assess Ad Agency / Tech vendors
- Experience with an order management system (Advendio, Operative, Media Ocean or similar) a plus
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, growing environment, deal with ambiguity, and remain focused on execution
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Thought leader and steward of media operations best practices
- Shopper, CPG or retail media experience is a plus
The pay range for this position is $84000.00 – $142800.00 / Year with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience level shift geographic location and business and organizational needs.
