Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager – Network Security.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for unit personnel and leading a team in the deployment and management of thin and FAT workstation clients, which includes Windows, WYSE, Macintosh and Linux platforms. Lead the team in end user support of mobile devices (iOS/Android), AV and video conferencing. Act as an interface between Engineering and NYU Lutheran Project team. Areas of accountability encompass the use of remote administration, software distribution, virus protection, inventory and monitoring tools. The position requires the associate to mentor team members and other technical support staff. Person must show leadership, initiative & expertise during project rollouts and end user support. Demonstrate a high proficiency and systematic approach in troubleshooting customer and staff problems. Level two and team problem escalation contact. Create support documentation, as well as hands on demonstrations and instructions to peers & Help Desk staff. Provide updates to project & task work, outages, trouble tickets, service requests and time entry. Escalate issues to manager or other groups as required. Perform related duties as assigned or requested. Works under general direction and may be required to work weekends and stay late as necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project lead coordinator for institutional add/move/change projects including, but not limited to Campus Transformation, large scale re-imaging of machines and departmental moves/relocations
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain the pickup for MCIT at NYU Lutheran with the IT Recycling company, ensuring that computer hardware is disposed of in accordance with and documented in accordance with security guidelines set forth by MCIT Security.
- Review of documentation (on End User Device Engineering SharePoint Site) and handoff of projects from the team to day 2 support (MCIT Local Service Desk) at the end of a project.
- Manage team of techs who themselves coordinate projects at times with the assistance of consultants for adds, moves and changes. Ensures that projects are completed on time and completed upholding the MCIT service standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Undergraduate degree; At least four or more years of management and support experience in End User computing applications and infrastructure. Work experience in healthcare or equivalent experience in complex organizations. Requires an in-depth knowledge of personal computing, Mac and Windows PC/Workstation based LAN systems, TCP/IP protocols personal computing, End User Infrastructure Support management tools, client functions and applications, excellent consultative and communication skills, analytical ability, decisiveness, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients, manage members of IMAC team, and ability to manage vendor relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience in a customer satisfaction driven environment. Demonstrated history of successful medium to large scale rollouts. Knowledge and experience supporting end users use of telecommunications, audio visual, video conferencing and data networks a plus.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $92,066.00 – $109,360.06 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
