Overview

The Point of Sale Manager will be responsible for management and direction of the 3rd Party Operations Administration Team. Primary duties include coordination of transactions between PharMerica and 3rd party payers, direct and coordinate work assignments necessary to protect corporate revenue. Interact with appropriate departments to ensure integrity of third party plan information and requests. Provide pharmacy operations support and coordinate the resolution of processing issues. Assist with special projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm CST

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall management, direction and coordination of 3rd Party Operations Administration Team.
  • Manage all phases of the third party plan implementation cycle including plan set-up, testing, and compliance within pharmacy adjudication system.
  • Manage the creation, testing and adherence to NCPDP HIPAA processor set-ups, change management as related to changes to standards and adhering to plan payer sheets.
  • Interact with third party agencies and processors. Obtain information for transaction set-up, maintenance and means to mitigate audit risk.
  • Identify, understand and communicate contractual, legal and regulatory requirements within our 3rd Party Operations Administration, audit compliance and provide guidance enterprise wide.
  • Manage/Lead Team supporting cross-functional work groups and be subject matter expert for enterprise related projects
  • Actively participate in industry organization meetings to represent the interests of the company and the long term care pharmacy perspective
  • Manage Team’s responsible for providing reports, tracking and detailed analysis to all levels of the organization.
  • Vendor oversight of related systems providers
  • Establish pharmacy adjudication and audit policy and procedures.
  • Provide support and resolution to pharmacy operations inquiries.
  • Work with pharmacy software system, claims processors, switch, pharmacy operations, IT and audit firms to resolve issues.
  • Prepare written communication outlining plan parameters, audit and pharmacy operations processing procedures
  • Provide feedback and training opportunities within Pharmacy Operations leadership.
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Education/Learning Experience
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Desired: MBA
  • Work Experience
  • Required:
  • 1-year experience with Pharmacy adjudication system, PBM/payer system or other similar claim processing.
  • 3+ years experience in managed care or related field
