As a Manager-level Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority initiatives for the company. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line and deliver value for our customers. General Responsibilities:
- Driving organizational change by owning and improving innovative, scalable systems and processes for strategic planning and execution of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
- Leading moderate to large complex initiatives and programs by providing strategic direction to peers across the Product organization
- Ensuring project and initiative reporting is documented appropriately to mitigate risk and elevate key decision-points to leadership
- Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and accurately represent status
- Partnering cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought OKR partnerships to effectively drive strategic planning and delivery
- Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure proactive planning and delivery of commitments
- Proactively taking ownership of initiatives, crafting a vision and driving results in an ambiguous environment
- Utilizing excellent communication and partnership skills at all levels across the company to manage, inform, and impact results
- Influencing stakeholders to drive business- and customer-oriented outcomes
The person will:
- Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to translate concepts into outcomes through structural frameworks and change management
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and influencing skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and impact outcomes
- Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands in an agile landscape
- Display strong consulting, coaching, and collaboration skills
- Demonstrate competency in problem solving, breaking down large, complex projects into manageable bodies of work through strong, cascading OKR development
- Balance both attention to detail and a holistic understanding of the project
- Think outside the box and drive a growing team forward through blank space
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
- At least 5 years of Project Management Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters of Business Administration
- 7+ years of Project Management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $147,800 – $168,700 for Manager, Project Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
