Job Summary
This position manages and oversees Project Origination (includes development of design scope, estimates, risk, feasibility, conceptual construction sequence plans, alternative analysis and project optimization). Lead, direct, and oversee the development of engineering drawings and scope for the feasibility analysis of new substation/switching station projects to ensure alignment with financial and operating objectives of the Company. This position also manages portions of the Electric Transmission & Distribution Capital Business Plan through the financial analysis of the Project Pipeline including risk analysis and mitigation.
Job Responsibilities
• Development of Inside/Outside Plan Conceptual design and transmission routing, Conceptual one line, General Arrangement, and Conceptual Construction Sequence Plan and Drawings
• Development of Scope Listing, Design, Risk Matrix, Project assumptions, alternate analysis and Project optimization
• Alignment of proposed projects with current or future projects and planning Feasibility and System Impact Studies conducted in connection with the PJM interconnection Queue Process
• Responsible and fully accountable for managing a team of analysts and engineers and the coordination of resources across the Utility for the full life-cycle management of multi-discipline strategic projects from time of assignment to commissioning and close-out
• Demonstrate strong leadership in successfully managing cross-functional project teams and multiple work streams
• Manage the Electric Transmission & Distribution Capital Business Plan through the financial analysis of the Project Pipeline and working with other stakeholders to make adjustments as needed to support Utility objectives
• Develop annual cash flows for the Placeholder Transmission and Distribution projects using analogous project data
• Present accurate metrics to executive management on a regular basis
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure resources align with project cash flows and execution strategies

Job Specific Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
• BS in Engineering, Business or equivalent degree
• A minimum of six (6) years of utility experience
• Proven management experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• General knowledge of basic computer applications, i.e., MS Office Suite
• Will be included in Delivery Emergency Response Center (DERC) on-call coverage, accepting call-out obligations as may be required
• Will be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) random drug testing
Desired:
• Advanced computer application knowledge, i.e. P6, MS Project, Access or other CPM/scheduling software
• MS in engineering/other discipline or MBA
