Manager, Public Safety Liaison

Uberʼs Public Safety team is seeking a Regional Law Enforcement Liaison Manager for the Northeast region of the US/Canada team. The Regional Liaison Manager will bridge relationships between Uberʼs Public Safety team and law enforcement officials in the Northeast U.S. as it relates to critical incidents. The role requires flexibility with occasional evening and weekend responsibilities as needed for timely response to critical incidents.

What You Will Do

– Liaise between Uberʼs Public Safety team and law enforcement officials in the Northeast U.S. as it relates to critical safety incidents
– Manage strategic operational relationships with law enforcement and industry counterparts and advise across a broad array of emergency and critical investigative categories
– Identify business and reputational risks through bilateral engagements with law enforcement in the pursuit of community safety in cities where we operate.
– Collaborate with internal partners to develop a regional strategy to achieve business and team safety goals
– Query data from various sophisticated data sources, conduct trend analysis and generate reports/presentation to communicate findings to the Public Safety leadership team and internal stakeholders
– Develop and maintain networks at the executive level of law enforcement within the operational AOR.
– Support investigative requests from law enforcement, as needed, as they relate to complex and critical investigations
– Work collaboratively with internal/external network to solve regional challenges
– Operate in a dynamic, fast paced environment, and maintain a professional disposition under stress and in crisis
– Advocate for Uber Public Safety externally to promote Uberʼs commitment to safety, privacy and transparency
– Motivate and align the team’s purpose with Uberʼs broader vision

Required Qualifications

– 8+ years of subject matter expertise gained within a criminal investigative role within the private sector, policing agency, prosecutors

Preferred Qualifications

– Expert knowledge/experience in technical lines of inquiry including communications and location data analysis
– Advanced data/reporting and/or analysis skills to report safety trends to the Public Safety leadership team and internal stakeholders
– Professional experience working in law enforcement, private sector and/or technical industries
– Commitment to organizational ethics including a respect for data privacy and public safety.
– Ability to make informed decisions and use critical thinking skills under high pressure and/or critical situations
– Proficient in querying information from complex data sources
– Advanced proficiency with Google suite of products (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Maps)

For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $129,000 per year – $143,000 per year.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $143,000 per year – $158,500 per year.
