Job Summary:
Leads and administrates activities of the Purchasing Organization in support of all procurement requirements for direct/indirect material, contracts, and licensing agreements. Identifies, suggests and implements the development of purchasing strategies (annual cost reductions) and systems under supervision of the Director of Supply Chain.

Summary of Duties:
• Lead, develop, and support purchasing personnel to implement values and objectives in order to achieve corporate goals and optimum performance
• Assigns purchasing and scheduling duties based on business requirements
• Demonstrates ability to negotiate contracts with strategic suppliers to drive purchase price variance savings, while balancing landed cost and inventory
• Works and aligns purchasing organization with Strategic Sourcing initiatives, specifically in spend consolidation and low-cost regions
• Demonstrates expertise in P.O and contractual Terms & Conditions to ensure organization and suppliers are enacting in accordance to company policies and guidelines
• Works with Supplier Development team to drive P.O on-time delivery, quality, and productivity (cost savings)
• Establish and/or oversee purchasing department training as required with focus on policies and procedures
• Ensure and establish performance goals for purchasing personnel based on standards and goals.
• Organize, analyze and report data including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Works with production leadership on a daily basis to monitor status and scheduling in order to obtain on-time delivery of products based on information provided by planning and purchasing teams.
• Inputs data into various systems and creates/prepares reports for supplier meetings.

Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required (Preferably a degree in Supply Chain management or related field) or comparable experience.
Experience: 10 years of experience in a production environment required.
Computer Skills: Proficient with Windows Operating System®, Office XP®, AutoCAD.
Other Skills: Solid understanding of Production Planning and Production Scheduling best practices and principles is required.
Additional Preferred Skills: (not required)
• LN knowledge desired.
• CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification preferred
