Job Description
We’re looking for a sales manager who is passionate about Universal Studios Hollywood to join our Youth Sales team. We sell various ticket products to schools/organizations K-12 and to college students. As Sales Manager for Grad Programs and Colleges, you will lead sales strategy for our Grad Bash and Jr. Grad Bash events, as well as for the College market, while also supporting sales efforts in the broader Youth channel. This can involve everything from designing marketing plans, maintaining strong client relationships, and coaching direct reports, to boots-on-the-ground selling. You will also partner closely with Operations, Finance, Legal, Event Production, and other internal teams.
General Responsibilities:
- Lead sales efforts for Universal Studios Hollywood’s graduation events and within the College market
- Create and execute sales plans that lead to achieving or exceeding revenue goals
- Collaborate with Marketing partners on effective marketing campaigns and creative assets to support sales activities
- Conduct outside sales calls to schools, colleges, and clients
- Plan on-campus activations to drive college ticket sales
- Attend vendor fairs, conferences, and trade shows
- Coach and develop direct report(s), including conducting regular one-on-ones and performance evaluations
- Hold direct report(s) accountable to sales metrics and performance standards
- Remain up to date on market conditions, and maintain awareness of competition
- Create, manage, and distribute reports to effectively communicate sales data and insights
- Present product/pricing recommendations to leadership
- Consistently seek new ways to grow and support the business
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Proven success in developing client relationships and managing accounts
- Sales experience, ideally within the K-12 or college space
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capable of exhibiting maturity and confidence in making decisions that will impact the business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to spend time in the field visiting schools for sale calls and on-campus events
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to schools and organizations within Southern California
Desired Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Effective prioritization of goals and responsibilities while wearing “multiple hats”
- Ability to work with others and collaborate across the organization
- High energy level and passion for the brand
- Salesforce (CRM database) and/or Galaxy (POS system) knowledge is desirable
- Ability to speak foreign languages, particularly Spanish, is a plus

- Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
