We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Business Operations team to be our new Manager of Strategic Yield Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of pricing and yield-related business processes, including but not limited to annual Upfront planning process and execution, deal/client terms and conditions review and approval, ads systems improvements, and deal analysis at a global/regional/agency/client level. Specific areas of focus will also include supporting our growing Media Strategy team, ensuring that client spend investments align with short and long-term business needs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure yield strategies take into account larger, integrated business decisions. This role includes leadership, training, experienced product knowledge, sales support expertise, and the ability to drive revenue. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts.
What You’ll Do
- Terms and Conditions – Serving as a dedicated business owner to streamline the process and provide better support to Sales, Legal, Accounting, and other internal teams that we need to partner with in this area.
- Global Deal Analysis – Focus on assessing how high-level Upfront/annual planning strategy is translating to day-to-day deal-making by Sales and contributing to our revenue targets.
- Contract Process Systems/Support – Serve as the main business POC for ensuring evolving deal-making needs (incentives, packages, agreements) are being managed accurately in CRM and OMS systems and measuring how client spend/delivery is aligning with contractual expectations.
- Work very closely with Sales and Finance Leadership to build strong relationships in order to support the rapid growth and monetization of our evolving digital properties.
- Manipulate large data sets and use a variety of data sources (dashboards, raw data files, etc.) to drive data-led pricing and inventory decisions daily and train a team of employees to do the same
- Responsible for driving global/regional/market yield analysis on a product/sales channel level to ensure all pricing and inventory decisioning is done in a manner to help achieve company goals and drive business growth.
- Partner closely with Heads of Pricing & Inventory and Trading Operations to help formulate yield and revenue management strategies and to amend these strategies as the marketplace dictates.
- Be an authority on all responsibilities, processes and tools of the Pricing, Inventory, and Yield Team.
- Enhance existing new systems/reports and drive the creation of new ones to provide business leaders with the vital data to make strategic yield-driving decisions.
Who You Are
- 10+ years working at a media company in Pricing, Business Operations, Deal Operations, Business Development, and/or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of Trading/Upfront/Corporate Partnership deal-making process and standard methodologies
- Consistent track record of successfully aligning with leaders in Sales, Operations, Pricing, Media Planning, Finance, Trading, and similar teams on annual and multi-year client partnership negotiations and analysis
- Validated results creating and implementing strategies that drive growth, optimizing pricing and accurately reporting on business performance
- Strategic problem solver and communicator who desires to dive deep into data analysis and deliver insights and strategies to a Sales-oriented audience
- Knowledge in ad operations systems and the programmatic landscape, with proven knowledge of SalesForce, Google Ad Manager, and/or another ad-serving platforms
- You understand the technical foundations of digital media, podcasts and programmatic mediums and have the ability to proactively determine solutions to problems
- You have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and are eager to further refine and develop these skills
- You are a highly-organized and focused multi-tasker with strong attention to detail, analytical and project management skills, and can work independently within a team focused organization
- You thrive in a fast-paced, deadline and detailed oriented environment
- You believe in the power of collaboration, and are a standout colleague
- You have excellent dexterity with Google and Microsoft suite of products including Excel and PowerPoint and have experience working within CRMs, Order Management Systems, ad servers and other digital media tech systems

The United States base range for this position is $101,540 to $145,057, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
