Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for top-notch technical product engineers to expand the team. As a Manager of Technical Product Engineers at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a key role in providing detailed technical information to our partners, customers, and our employees.
Be a self-starter who is eager to learn and experiment with new technologies, be able to work independently and as a teammate, identify challenges and address solutions as needed.
As a Manager of Technical Product Engineers you will be a strategic adviser to the business, driving valuable insight, guidance and feedback back into Palo Alto Networks. You will work across product and marketing teams to deliver this feedback.
Your Impact
- Manage and work with a highly technical team of Technical Product Engineers working on a wide variety of tasks
- Work with sales, engineering, product management, product marketing, customers, partners and additional teams to promote and bring innovation
- Indepently coordinate and lead ambitious projects in a multi-functional capacity with other teams
- Work closely with Product Managers and provide direct product feedback for future development
- Help to mentor employees with their career development
- Help to create best practices around Incident Response and SOC trends
- Produce highly visible demonstrations of content for internal and external audiences
- Create high-quality integration guides for customers.
Qualifications
Your Experience
- At least 2 years experience with Technical teams such as – Systems Engineers, Solution Architects, Development Teams, or TME’s
- At least 4 years experience with Cortex products, including hands-on experience in integration and operation.
- Experience in working with Product Management
- Familiarity with a wide view of today’s security landscape – SOAR, SIEM, EPP, EDR, XDR, ASM, IR and Forensics. Firewall or other products would be a plus
- Experience in building SOC workflows or with management of a SOC
- Experience managing cross functional programs, in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience in project management and supporting large enterprise networks
- Experience with people management
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills with strong presentation abilities
- Experience with highly complex and visible presentations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player that creatively and effectively solves complex issues and establishes best practices proactively
- Understanding and affinity for technology and a motivation to master product and market details
- Ability to inspire teams, colleagues, and executives; paired with an ability to execute
- Strong work ethic, integrity and organizational skills
- Ability to travel often to various local and international locations as needed
- Ability to present to CISO or higher level executives and lead thought discussions

This team provides behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our systems engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in, and helping to implement technical solutions based on our client’s feedback and needs. The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $125,800/yr to $203,500/yr.
