JOB FUNCTION:

The Balmain Beauty team is looking for a visual merchandising, store design, retail experience led to join the team. This role is responsible for managing all fragrance and cosmetics visual merchandising, store design and seasonal animations implementations with cross function teams at a global level. The role will report to the VP of Marketing Balmain Beauty.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

RETAIL EXPERIENCE
• Expert Visual merchandising and store design talent that can drive, lead and project manage with cross functional teams in various regions the development of project from ignition to implementation.
• Take a project manager role for key retail initiatives, setting clear parameters and ensuring timelines are met and results are documented. Oversee production of customized merchandising elements for Balmain Beauty retail environments.
• Collaborate on concept and design brand’s in-store merchandising for key Cosmetic and Fragrance launches, including in-store collateral, presentations, retailer visual weeks, specialty merchandising units.
• Partner with Global Product Marketing and Creative Operations to establish project briefs, project objectives, and draw inspiration from campaign collateral to concept and propose merchandising elements for the in-store environment.
• Develop guidelines for both site-specific needs and system wide for regional teams to adapt for a variety of distribution points of sale.
• Guide regional teams on fabrication through the review of proposals in 2D/3D and providing timely feedback on material use, asset usage and offering design solutions.
• Liaise with Development team on execution of system with vendors through the review of engineering drawings, materials samples, production samples and final prototypes for key launches.
• Coordinate with Global Store Design team and Events team for relevant site drawings and specifications needed for execution of merchandising fixtures in store.
• Manage the roll-out of new in store experiences, monitoring execution. Track results and identify opportunities.

CONSUMER JOURNEY
• With a consumer-first mind set, focus on creating a cohesive consumer experience at Retail (offline), that is globally relevant and ensure synergy with other channels.
• Identify new retail experience opportunities for retail formats and brick and mortar channels.
• Collaborate with Global Creative team (Copy, VM, store design) to ensure consistency in execution of Retail Experience across retail formats and channels (where applicable) i.e., Guidelines, decks, collateral.

COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING
• Manage and maintain the biannual Boutique Collateral offering to support markets in executing the Retail Experience across retail formats making cost effective savings and sustainable choices where possible.
• Develop guidance and toolkits for the regions to activate retail initiatives. Work closely with International Marketing to track execution, gather feedback and adjust where needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in Store Design & Visual Experience, Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Global Education and Finance to ensure a holistic approach across retail experience initiatives.
• Foster successful working relationships with the regional teams’ cross departments to ensure Retail Experience objectives are clearly understood and met. Assesses Market execution and identify opportunities.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Position requires 5+ years of retail experience with a focus on merchandising and brand execution with a preference in luxury retail.
• Understanding context of licensor relation brand leadership
• Ability to work and think independently in a fast-paced environment with a strong creative focus.
• Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Proven merchandising track record, strategic mindset, creative, team player and budget management.
• Passionate about retail and in-store visual merchandising with a deep understanding of current luxury beauty/fashion/retail/design trends.
• Strong communication skills with ability to articulate ideas and concepts clearly and accurately to cross functional partners.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, quality execution, and attention to detail. Retail industry and international experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to work with data efficiently and effectively.
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Proficient understanding of materials, manufacturing, and installation execution.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
